Travel Avenue, from blank repo to a storefront that must sell

Catalog, media, SEO, and the automation underneath a UAE luggage DTC channel.

A storefront that must sell is a different brief from a storefront that must demo. Nobody applauds a hero animation at 9 AM if the catalog went stale overnight.

Travel Avenue started as an empty repository and a constraint list: sell suitcases and travel accessories across the UAE, direct to customer, on top of Shopify — while the same team kept selling on Amazon and Noon. Everything I shipped had to respect that second fact.

Prototype wide, commit narrow

I used Replit Agent and Magic Patterns to test storefront concepts, product discovery flows, and layout ideas before writing the real thing. Most prototypes died within a day — that was the point. The flows that survived became the customer-facing site: responsive, uncluttered, with ChatKit guiding shoppers through discovery and a Cloudflare Worker keeping the AI traffic server-side and free of exposed keys.

The storefront is the tip

Underneath the theme sits the machinery this report keeps circling: n8n pipelines for inventory reconciliation, catalog management, listings, generative media, alt text, and SEO content — plus PostHog watching every click so the next iteration is measured, not guessed.

Pretty pages don't pay for hosting. Conversion does.
